More than 500 guests gathered in Central Park this week for the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy’s annual Fall Luncheon—one of New York City’s most anticipated philanthropic traditions.

Held across four mid-Park locations, the event drew philanthropists, civic leaders and longtime supporters for an afternoon that blended elegance with purpose. Tables were adorned with seasonal florals and artfully prepared boxed lunches as guests mingled over wine and mocktails, sharing stories of their connection to the Park.

“The Fall Luncheon is a reflection of what makes Central Park so special—community, generosity and a deep appreciation for beauty,” said Betsy Smith, president of the Central Park Conservancy.

Founded in 1983, the Women’s Committee has grown to more than 1,000 members and has raised over $200 million for the Park’s general operations and landmark restoration projects. Its contributions can be seen throughout the 843-acre landscape—from the reconstruction of the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center to the renovation of Safari Playground and the restoration of the Conservatory Garden.

Women’s Committee President Tracey Huff, joined by past co-chairs Gillian Miniter, Fe Fendi, Sharon Jacob, Jenny Price, Stephanie Hessler, Rankia Cohen, Bonnie Comley and Margo Nederlander, welcomed attendees and thanked supporters for their continued commitment.

“Central Park thrives because New Yorkers care,” Huff said. “Every contribution, large or small, ensures that this extraordinary green space remains a refuge for all.”

As the afternoon sun filtered through the trees, guests departed with renewed dedication to preserving the Park’s legacy. For more than four decades, the Women’s Committee’s Fall Luncheon has served as both a celebration of the season and a reminder that when passion meets purpose, New York shines a little brighter.
