The hustle and challenges of running a business seem to come easily to those with the adequate market knowledge and a financial and progressive mindset to grow. Understanding the financial markets and knowing when, where, and how to invest is generally backed by proper in-depth research and understanding market statistics and data, a resource and skill every investor must have. In the financial markets, my research on Braeden Lichti and his past and current portfolio is one such venture capital investor who knows when and where to hit the rod for fruitful outcomes.
An entrepreneur by heart and an investor by passion, Lichti is known for his expertise in funding, restructuring, and founding businesses that have been listed on national stock exchanges or have been bought out. In terms of capital allocation, Lichti has his sights set on innovative biotechnology and medical aesthetics.
Lichti’s interest in the capital market and entrepreneurship grew from observing his father, who is an investment banker. At 12 years old age Lichti was already being taught by his father how to look up and research public companies in the daily newspapers. By 15 years old, Lichti began investing through a broker in several Canadian-listed equities and has been active in both public and private markets ever since.
His curiosity and passion for stocks and investments led him to launch four companies financed through a holding company: BWL Investments Ltd., a public markets venture capital investment firm that invests and syndicates anywhere from $500,000 to over $10,000,000 ; and NorthStrive Companies Inc., a new operating subsidiary of BWL that will focus on US-based biotech and medical aesthetics venture capital opportunities.
It was in 2020 that Lichti had the opportunity and co-founded ELEVAI Labs, a medical aesthetic biotechnology company dealing in regenerative skincare applications. He was also the co-founder of Health Logic Interactive Inc., a point of care diagnostic company that was sold to Marizyme Inc. in 2021.
Lichti’s ability to take risks and learn from his mistakes has been a boon in his investment journey and his company’s portfolio. With his aggressive but also empathetic approach, he has also helped numerous founders and innovators build from proof of concept and transform their technologies into operating businesses
Lichti’s professional journey inspires all youngsters who wish to enter the investment world and pave their path. He often advises the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors to invest or start businesses with meaningful barriers to entry and learn the difference between a great company and a great investment.
