This initiative is dedicated to supporting doctors, nurses, and frontline healthcare workers who tirelessly devote themselves to safeguarding our nation in the ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The PPE items being manufactured adhere strictly to the rigorous health and safety regulations outlined by the Ministry of Health, ensuring their effectiveness in providing a vital shield against the coronavirus. As the pandemic escalated and the critical shortage of PPE became apparent, Fusionex and Batik Boutique took swift action by establishing a dedicated production line at Batik Boutique’s facilities.

The collaborative project primarily focuses on producing a range of essential PPEs, including isolation gowns, boots, and head covers, which are then dispatched to the social impact organization Me.Reka for a rigorous sanitization process. Given that these PPEs are critical medical equipment used in close proximity to patients, the sanitization process is essential to ensuring they meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

In the absence of a vaccine, healthcare workers continue to conduct extensive testing of patients on a daily basis, resulting in a rapid depletion of PPE supplies. Hospital Kuala Lumpur, for instance, requires more than 500 units of PPE per day to cater to the overwhelming demand in the frontlines of the battle against COVID-19. The contribution of these PPEs by Fusionex and Batik Boutique is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the tireless efforts of healthcare workers and first responders.
