Prominent academic and diplomat, Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt, received the prestigious EFQM Excellency in Leadership Award from the European Foundation for Quality Management for his exceptional leadership in sustainable value creation. EFQM is the premier quality management framework, and it is used by most Fortune 500 corporations and by many government institutions.

EFQM Global CEO, Russell Longmuir, a living legend in the field of organizational behavior and leadership, personally presented the EFQM Excellence in Leadership Award to Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt on the 10th of December in a solemn ceremony held at the iconic Intercontinental Hotel of Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt accepted the award with humility, remembering his days as an instructor of organizational behavior and international management. Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt remarked that “it is truly amazing that today I am receiving this award when a few years ago I was teaching my students about the importance of EFQM as an institution”.

Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt currently serves as Andean Parliament Special Envoy for Education, Senior Consultant for Education at UNESCO, and Dean of Global Relations – Latin Division at Keiser University. He has also served as United Nations Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Observer of the International Youth Organization for Iberoamerica and he is considered to be one of the most influential figures in higher education. Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt has authored more than one hundred highly cited academic articles and several high impact academic books dealing with education and leadership. His forthcoming book to be published by Springer in early 2025 is titled “Ethics in Social Science Research: Current Insights and Practical Strategies”.
