Jessica, your journey as a young entrepreneur and your dedication to community service and business leadership at such a young age are truly inspiring. Can you share with us some of the key moments that motivated you to start your career early?
Well, it all started with a strong desire to make a difference and an eagerness to learn about the business world. I realized that there was a lack of platforms that focused on the challenges young women face in the business world, and that’s when I launched “JessTalksBusiness.” This platform allowed me to explore the stories of successful business people while addressing the specific challenges women encounter. I was driven by the need to empower the next generation of women to take the entrepreneurial leap.
Your involvement in community service, especially with organizations like Jewish Community Services of South Florida and your collaboration with Sunny Isles Beach Mayor Larisa Svechin, shows a deep commitment to giving back. How has this aspect of your work influenced your entrepreneurial journey?
Being actively engaged in my community has been a critical part of my journey. It has taught me the importance of empathy, collaboration, and understanding the needs of others. Working with organizations like Jewish Community Services allowed me to see the impact businesses can have beyond just profit. It’s about making a positive contribution to society, and that’s a fundamental value I carry into my entrepreneurial endeavors.
You and your team’s remarkable achievement of winning “Company of the Year” in the Spark Tank State Finalists of Junior Achievement in South Florida with the project named Eternitie is a significant accomplishment. Can you tell us more about this project and how it reflects your commitment to creating change in the business landscape?
This project was the culmination of our dedication to innovation, teamwork, and making a positive impact. Winning “Company of the Year” was a validation of our efforts and a reminder that young entrepreneurs can drive change. It also highlighted the importance of diverse voices, as our team brought unique perspectives to the table.
Becoming the first female president of the pre-professional business program at your school is a significant milestone. How has this achievement impacted your school and the future of female business leaders?
It was indeed a proud moment for me, and I believe it opened a new chapter of empowerment at my school. Breaking through the barriers and becoming the first female president of the business program was a symbol of change. It showcased that young women can take leadership roles, influence decisions, and create an environment where everyone’s voices are heard. I hope it inspires other young women to step up and take charge of their aspirations.
Looking ahead, what advice do you have for young female entrepreneurs who aspire to start their careers early and make a positive impact on their communities?
My advice would be to believe in yourself, be persistent, and stay curious. The business world can be challenging, but every obstacle is an opportunity to learn and grow. Find mentors, both male and female, who can guide you and support your journey. Never underestimate the power of your voice and the impact you can make. Remember, you’re not just building a career; you’re shaping the future for other aspiring female entrepreneurs as well.
As a visionary and a trailblazer, what are your aspirations for the future of female entrepreneurship and business leadership?
My vision is for a future where gender is no longer a barrier to success in the business world. I want to see more women taking on leadership roles, driving innovation, and creating a more diverse and inclusive business landscape. I hope to continue advocating for the empowerment of young women, supporting their ambitions, and helping them realize their full potential. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring about positive change.
