Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has officially announced the launch of the 2025 Outlander Trail Edition, marking the brand’s first dedicated off-highway styling and equipment package for its popular Outlander SUV. Priced at a starting MSRP of $39,295, this new model comes equipped with Mitsubishi’s renowned Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, which has cemented its reputation through success in the Paris-to-Dakar race and the World Rally Championship.

With the Outlander Trail Edition, Mitsubishi aims to enhance the driving experience for adventure enthusiasts. “Outlander has been a reputational, sales, and brand-level home run for Mitsubishi Motors since we launched this new-generation model in 2021,” said Mark Chaffin, president and CEO of MMNA. He added that the Trail Edition broadens the vehicle’s appeal and encourages compact SUV shoppers to consider it during their search.

The Outlander Trail Edition sets itself apart with a striking aesthetic, featuring unique matte and gloss black Trail Edition decals on the hood, a dedicated “Trail Edition” badge on the rear hatch, and various black trim updates around the vehicle. It also debuts a distinct black-finished basket-weave 18″ wheel designed exclusively for this model.

Interior upgrades include all-weather floor mats in all seating positions and a specialized cargo-area mat system designed to facilitate access to the third-row seating, reflecting practicality without sacrificing style.

To cater to personalization, Mitsubishi offers a selection of dealer accessories. These include rugged Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT tires, mountain-themed graphics, a Thule flat-rack roof rack, and various transport accessories, all of which can be added before the vehicle leaves the dealership.

In addition to the Trail Edition enhancements, all 2025 Outlander models boast improved steering and ride feel, a redesigned interior featuring new cupholders and a larger center console, and an industry-exclusive Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system with eight speakers.

Mitsubishi reinforces its commitment to customer satisfaction with a robust warranty package, including a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile limited warranty, and five-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance.

With this new offering, Mitsubishi Motors is poised to attract outdoor enthusiasts looking for a capable and stylish SUV, ensuring that even when the pavement ends, the adventure continues.
