Motors Formula Team “MFT” is an international one-stop motorsport agency and racing team based in Monaco and Mauritius that offers a large array of sport-driven and automotive services. Throughout the last eight successful years, MFT expanded its racing-centric services to encapsulate pilot management, coaching, training, motorsports consulting, communication, sim racing, advertising, and event planning. MFT stands out among the motorsports industry by its commitment to diversity, which in addition to benchmarking against industry standards, is at the very core of its strategy.
Motors Formula Team was founded in 2014 by Ludovic Pezé, a 30-year-old French-Mauritian entrepreneur born and raised in Monaco.
Ludovic’s personal journey and gradual rise in the motorsport industry is a compelling story that showcases
his tenacity, intellect, drive, fearlessness, and willingness to go against the odds. It’s these qualities that are shared by both skilled racing pilots and thriving entrepreneurs alike.
He was born into a motorsport-first family where his father worked for many years as a Karting mechanic and historic competition and restoration in Rally and F3 Classic. At a young age, he had the opportunity to visit races, mingle with drivers, and run around pit stops. This early exposure to car racing has incubated his passion for cars, race car driving, and motorsports.
In 2013, he had to drop out of university and put everything on hold when he caught meningitis and became bedridden.
He fought the disease and prevailed, which resulted in forming two major interests in his life: the first is his ongoing support for initiatives dedicated to eradicating or preventing meningitis and alleviating poverty among underprivileged youth in Mauritius and in Africa. The second interest that grew while ill with meningitis was to build his own motorsport company.
So, in 2014, now hale and healthy once again after a long period of physical rehabilitation, Ludovic made his dream come true and created Motors Formula Team in Monaco with offices in his mother’s country Mauritius, a company dedicated to FIA-approved training, coaching, management, and an extensive set of services for a sustainable and inclusive racing team.
“MFT Management team is a unique blend of highly talented experts, including his co-director, Geraldine Secondis. Jamie Allan as commercial developer, Fabrice Le Mouël, a motorsport expert with a track record of working with champions at Renault F1 team, graphic designer Arnaud Lapouze, Jahee Campbell-Brennan, who’s MFT technical director and member of the diversity panel at Motorsport UK, and Anna Kebke environmental and sustainability specialist” presented the official Monaco spokesman of the company.
MFT team is currently the most diverse team in Europe.
On the drivers’ side, MFT talent encapsulates numerous affiliated pilots such as David Dalton Junior, Toka Murphy, Tyron Kinard (karting), and Lucas Urbani (karting), as well as Jann Mardenborough as the most prestigious, having just signed a multi-year agreement with MFT.
International Motorsport Presence:
Since its beginning eight years ago, MFT has established a visible presence and made a long-lasting impression on all key international motorsport competitions. These exceptional feats include a speed record in single-seater in France, a drift and slalom champion in Mauritius, finished 16 out of 32 at the Monaco Historic F1 Grand Prix in 2018, won the Slalom Renault Formula 2.0 French Cup, ranked among the top 10 in LMP2 Category at Le Mans 24 Hours, and developed extensive collaboration with F2 and Formula E racing drivers.
One of MFT’s initial goals was to be a specialty agency, promoting diversity and catering to exceptionally talented drivers and motorsports enthusiasts with limited opportunities, networks, or access. For the first semester of the 2022 season, MFT has worked with strategic partners to bring its management and engineering expertise to Euronascar, the French GT4 championship, and the 24h series.
GT4 will be MFT’s main program, with testing sessions throughout 2022 to prepare the 2023 season, 100% under MFT name and management.
In the meantime, with its partners Yanibes and Alta Global Media, “Racing with Ludovic,” a docuseries dedicated to retracing the foundation of the team and its driver’s history, is in pre-production with the support of Warner Discovery bros within Eurosport.
MFT is working on securing funds and investments to secure a spot in the 2023 season. Meanwhile, MFT aims to be the first structure to participate in 24h of le Mans with a diverse team made of afro-descendant talented people and international motorsport experts.
Looking forward, MFT is focused on endurance racing GT and prototypes in the USA, as the cars are the same, have similar regulations, and the team members are lovers of iconic American tracks like Daytona, Indianapolis, Road America, and Long Beach.
Since the first lockdown, Ludovic Pezé, MFT Founder, has also made an Esport branch dedicated to conception and event management, with a key focus on MFT’s medium-term development goals.
For the last year, MFT has organized Simracing events broadcast on YouTube and supported by leading sports sponsors, including Monster Energy-Mauritius and Huawei Mauritius. MFT has also created a virtual race concept for the Monaco Esports Federation, including Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc. MFT Esports also partnered with Monaco Pavilion for the Dubai Expo in 2020 to co-organize a discovery of the sim racing and racing worlds that represent Monaco to pavilion visitors. Growing the portfolio of sim racing events across the globe with even more events and more fans is also part of MFT’s medium terms objectives.
Recurring Partners
MFT works in tandem with a different training center to provide its drivers and talents with world-class coaching and training adapted to racing drivers.
Yanibes Consulting is a Sweden-based PR, Communications, and Production company with whom we work on various activities, including the creation of the docuseries “Racing with Ludovic” around MFT and its drivers. The show is slated to start production by Q1 2023 and will be broadcasted on Warner Discovery through Eurosport.
Alta Global media represents international talents and media companies for the world market.
Squadra Corse is one of the first and few black-owned racing teams with a unique apprenticeship program for underprivileged youth interested in careers in the motorsport sector and is based in South Africa. This partnership entails talent identification and development through racing scholarships in karting, as well as racetrack and cars.
Blue Flag Communications is an American corporate communications agency working at the intersection of tech and racing.
Technology advanced:
Additionally, MFT is committed to integrating eco-efficient and environmentally safe standards, which they already apply while competing, including transporting racing cars by truck to racing locations and imposing fuel and tire usage limitations during races. MFT is keeping an eye on the green competition when it’s greener for the planet but still attractive for the fans. For this point, MFT is leading a study with its partner Niesslein Sustainability Partners.
We are overwhelmed by the support that we have gained over the years from family, friends, business partners, pilots, drivers, and beyond. The motorsport industry is both a challenging but very rewarding environment where people are driven by passion, excellence, and high performance. Cementing our place in this industry starts with keeping up with certain quality standards and continuing benchmarking against those who have been there since the inception of this industry.
