Project Save Our Surf (PSOS), founded by actress Tanna Frederick (Two Ways Home, Hollywood Dreams) runs its organization for kids, with the help of kids, and in respect to kids taking over the planet.
PSOS has a great freshwater filter program where they are able to take troubled teens and send them on various leadership trips. One of them allows kids to surf for a week at a global surf break located near a village in dire need of freshwater. Not only are they doing that but they are also installing freshwater filters and interacting with the kids in the village who look up to them as leaders and heroes.
The name of the NFT PSAWS came from an urban slang name for PSOS, created by the kids from the organization.
PSOS founder Fredrick wanted to create an organization that was able to bring awareness and actionable opportunities for the community to help our planet.
When purchasing the PSAWS G² NFT for only $49, also having discounted bundles available, you will be supporting a women’s organization called Green Girls, founded by CEO Apple Levy.
Owners will also be supporting carbon-friendly projects, as the NFT will be minting on Polygon as opposed to Ethereum. Most NFTs can use as much gas as a car driving 500 miles in their lifetime. PSOS wanted to reduce its NFT’s carbon footprint, so they decided to have their collection live on the eco-friendly Polygon Blockchain.
That is not the only thing, additionally, five trees will be planted with each initial purchase of a PSAWS G² NFT via OneTreePlanted.org. Purchases of the NFT will help keep PSOS and its programs running.
Additionally, 33% of the initial sale, as well as 50% of the secondary sales royalty, will be donated towards marine wildlife and ocean conservation.
Some of their programs include helping to conserve marine life and ocean conservations, monthly beach clean-ups, clean water filtration installations, and maintenance trips in over 15 countries. Additionally, all sales will go towards helping children’s educational camps in local California mountain ranges and wetlands and supporting surf camps that benefit youth with cystic fibrosis, and more.
